This presentation will highlight the development and implementation of an innovative graduate student orientation program with an emphasis on the inclusion of family members. Research on Hispanic student success overwhelmingly suggests that family members provide a significant structural support system. The presenters will engage audience participants in the process of developing a unique graduate student orientation program on their campus which highlights three separate orientation tracts: students, family and small children.
